I grew up in Vancouver in an environment that fostered creativity. My Father was a retired filmmaker and I was introduced to cinema at an early age. At some point I attended a late night viewing of 2001: A Space Odyssey. The projectionist had accidentally mixed up the reels so that every 20 minutes the story would jump ahead or back, disrupting its structure and confusing the audience more than the film normally would. This viewing had a lasting effect on me and helped shape how I look at narrative construct and its manipulation.

Mostly, I just make paintings.
